Louisiana law requires lawyers to represent their clients competently and diligently. The Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct mandate that lawyers who take on the responsibility of representing a client do so reasonably and in keeping with the applicable standards of the legal profession. If a lawyer fails to meet these standards and causes damage because of this failing, his or her client may have a claim of legal malpractice.
Legal malpractice claims, however, are often complex, contested, and difficult to prove. As a result, the attorneys at WPTC are selective regarding the cases they take which allows them to devote their resources to provide the best possible representation with the best chances for success.
