Andrew F. Barr
Andrew F. Barr is Of Counsel to Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, LLC, and concentrates his practice on helping injured workers through state workers’ compensation law. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University where he graduated with both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in History. He then worked several years in state government while attending the evening program at Southern University Law Center. While at Southern, he founded and served as president of the Southern University Maritime Law Society. In addition, he was actively involved in assisting injured workers through the Workers’ Compensation Clinic at Southern University Law Center. After graduating a semester early, Andrew was admitted to the Louisiana bar in May of 2016, and has practiced exclusively in state workers’ compensation ever since.
Andrew is actively involved in the Workers’ Injury and Law Advocacy Group (WILG), a national organization dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers. In addition, he was the 2016 WILG scholarship recipient. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Baton Rouge Christian Counseling Center at First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge. Andrew enjoys Saturday nights in Death Valley, hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his wife and family.BACK TO TOP
