As is the case with doctors, lawyers and other professionals, Louisiana law requires that accountants provide competent advice and services to their clients. Accountants, or other financial advisors, who fail to meet the applicable standards of their profession when advising their clients, may be liable for damages caused by their malpractice.
Accounting malpractice claims, however, are often complex, require expert testimony, expensive and are relatively difficult to prove. As a result, the attorneys at WPTC are selective regarding the cases they take, so they may devote their resources to provide the best possible representation with the best chances for success.
